Ski Cap

I made this hat for my husband. He liked my knitted hats that I made my children and wanted me to make one for him. So here it is.

Size 7 needle 4dpn, or circular needles (when using circular change to dpn when needed)
Cast On sm-60, med-70, Large-80
Brim- Knit 2, Purl 2 around.
Do this until it reaches 1 inch.
Change to Knit around each row

Knit with one color for 3/4 of an inch
Start stripe.
Color 2- Knit 2 rows
Color 1- Knit 2 rows
color 2- Knit 2 rows
color 1- knit 2 rows
color 2- knit 2 rows
Knit main color until hat measures 6 inches from brim
Start decreasing
row 1- Knit 8, K2tog repeat across
row 2- Knit across
Row 3-Knit 6, K2tog repeat across
Row 4-Knit across
Row 5-Knit 6 K2tog repeat across
Row 6- Knit across
Row 7-Knit 5 K2tog repeat across
Row 8- Knit across
Row 9- Knit 4 K2tog repeat across
Row 10- Knit across
Row 11- Knit 3 K2tog repeat across
Row 12- Knit across
Row 13- Knit 2 K2tog repeat across
Row 14- Knit across
Row 15- Knit 1, k2tog
Row 16- Knit across
Row 17- K2tog across
bind off.
sew in ends.
